The economic evaluation of a coal and biomass waste mixture to ethanol process using a fluidized bed gasifier was conducted by using domestic biowastes. In this work, we chose three different types of domestic biowastes because collecting domestic biowastes was considered as one of biggest bottlenecks. CBTE process is consisted of a dual fluidized bed gasifier, biowaste dryer, acid gas removal process, ethanol synthesis process with catalysts, and auxiliary facilities including turbine for power generation. Economic evaluation was conducted using internal rate of return, net present value and ethanol prices. The usage of woody waste in the 2000 dry-ton/day scale plant might be more economical than other biowastes because of lower ethanol prices. |
