제목 A study on mechanical properties of multi-stacked Nafion membrane fabricated by heat-compressing process
초록 Recently, we developed heat-compressing process to enhance the generated actuation force and bending stiffness of ionic polymer-metal composite(IPMC) by increasing the thickness of Nafion membrane and proved it to be effective in the previous research. In the present work, mechanical properties of the multi-stacked Nafion membrane were measured and compared with those of bare Nafion matrix. We observed slight improving characteristics of mechanical and electrochemical properties with respect to the increase of number of Nafion layers. And then, we assumed classical cantilever-beam theory and the analytic results agreed well with the experimental results.
