Extremely flexible transparent electrodes for organic device applications |
초록 |
We report a novel architecture and very simple process to fabricate extremely flexible transparent conducting electrode on metal embedded flexible substrate (MEFS), which has the very flat surface without any chemico-mechanical polishing. The a few micrometer thick printed Ag grids are embedded into a polymer substrate to provide a flat top surface, and are overcoated with a 20-nm-thick amorphous ITO (a-ITO) electrode to provide conductivity over all area processed at room temperature. The fabricated flexible TCEs on MEFS showed the transmittance of ~ 93% at the wavelength of 550 nm and sheet resistance of ~13 Ω □-1, and no change of the resistivity after folding of the TCEs with the bending radius of ~200 m, demonstrating the quasi-elimination of trade-off between transmittance and conductivity. It is completely compatible with roll-to-roll processes and, therefore, is advantageous for high throughput mass production. |
