제목 | Carbon Dioxide Behaviors of Physically Activated Carbon Derived from Rice husks |
초록 | CO2 is one of the major greenhouse gases causing global warming. In addition, in addition, increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is proposed to have a direct linkage to global climate changes. Considerable effort has been devoted to limiting the emissions of CO2 to environment. In this work, we have prepared porous carbons using rice husks with physical activation for CO2 capture. The textural properties of the prepared samples were investigated by N2/77K adsroption-desorption isotherms by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. The CO2 adsorption/desorption performance was evaluated using a TGA at 40oC under the N2 flow. From the results, it was shown that physical activation had influence on pore development, resulting in enhancing the CO2 adsorption capacity. |
