Synthesis of a Polyacetylene Derivative by the Non-catalyst Polymerization of 2-Ethynylpyridine Using 4-(Phenylazo)benzoyl chloride |
초록 |
Azobenzene and its derivatives undergo cis-trans isomerization on UV irradiation. A new polyacetylene derivative was prepared by the non-catalyst polymerization of 2-ethynylpyridine using 4-(phenylazo)benzoyl chloride. The polymer structure was characterized to have a conjugated polymer backbone system with the designed azobenzene moieties.The photoluminescence spectrum showed that the PL peak is at 597 nm corresponding to the photon energy of 2.07 eV. The cyclovoltammograms of polymer exhibited the irreversible electrochemical behaviors between the oxidation and reduction peaks. |
