Polymer electro-luminescence (OEL) device was designed with single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs)-polymer nanocomposite working under alternating current (AC) field. The device was developed with top metal electrode/ fluorescence polymer with SWNTs /insulator/transparent bottom electrodes working under AC electric field. We employ n-type or p-type fluorescence polymer such as F8T2 and PFO respectively with SWNTs. The luminescence intensity was enhanced more than 5 times by small amount of SWNTs, highly dispersed in the matrix with help of a conjugate block copolymer dispersant, giving rise to approximately 70 cd/m2 at applied voltage and AC frequency of ±30V and 300 kHz, respectively. We also employ thin organic or inorganic dielectric layer to improve EL efficiency and work at low voltage.
