제목 Effect of Temperature on Monomer Reactivity Ratios in Copolymerization of 2-Pyrrolidone  with ε-Caprolactam
초록 2-Pyrrolidone(PY, M1) was copolymerized with ε-caprolactam(CL, M2) through the anionic ring opening polymerization. This experiment was performed in the temperature range of 70~150℃. Potassium tert-butoxide and N-acetyl-ε-caprolactam were used as a catalyst and an initiator, respectively. The compositions of the copolymers were determined by 1H-NMR spectroscopy of the resultant copolymers. The reactivity ratio was calculated by Fineman-Ross and Kelen-Tudos equation. Both methods showed very similar results. The value of r1 decreased from around one to almost zero as the temperature increased from 70 to 150℃. Whereas, that of r2 showed small increase under the same condition.
