제목 Synthesis of the Ag/silica nanoparticle for antibacterial property
초록 The immobilized silver nanoparticle on silica nanoparticle of 50~60nm in diameter was prepared  by modified Stöber method. The surface of silica nanoparticle was functionalized with thiol groups by using the surface modification with (3-mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilane. The formation of Ag-S chemical bonds improves stability of silver nanoparticle without aggregation. The Ag/silica nanocomposite particle was synthesized depending on the concentration of silver precursor. The Ag/silica nanocomposite particle showed excellent antibacterial properties against both the Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli, and the Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus in the influence of Ag which has prevented cell death, even with a low concentration of silver precursor.
