In this study, phosphorus was introduced into Ni, which is known to have relatively high HER activity, to improve stability and performance in acidic condition. The catalyst for HER was prepared by electrodeposition on carbon paper with an electrolyte containing Ni precursor and P precursor. In addition, a certain potential was applied to the prepared catalyst to dealloy the relatively non-noble metal through selective leaching, thereby improving the high stability of the acidic condition and increasing the activity through the production of the catalyst with high surface area. All electrochemical experiments were carried out with 0.5 M H2SO4 purged with N2 for 30 min, and cyclic voltammetry was performed for performance and electrochemical surface area measurements. As a result, the catalyst prepared in this study showed high acidic resistance, high performance and large surface area. |
