제목 The effect of stabilization temperature on densification of carbon/carbon composite
초록 In this study, we have prepared carbon/carbon composite using various stabilization temperature of impregnated preform. In the fabrication of carbon/carbon composite by isotropic pitch injection through a needle punched preform, it is indispensable to stabilization process the flow-induced microstructure in the flow channels and to prevent relaxation and exudation of the isotropic pitch. The effect of stabilization temperature has been investigated from real density, filling efficiency and polarization microscope. Real density of carbon/carbon composite is increased in proportion to stabilization temperature of impregnated preform. The real density of carbon/carbon composites are measured to be from 1.741 g/cm3 to 1.848 g/cm3, in the stabilization temperature from 90 ℃ to 150 ℃.
