제목 | Monitoring Activity and Stability of NiFe-based Catalysts for Oxygen Evolution Reaction in Alkaline Electrolyte |
초록 | As environmental pollution becomes more serious, interest in use of hydrogen energy has been recently increased. Among various methods to produce hydrogen energy, water electrolysis has advantages to obtain high purity hydrogen. Many studies on non-noble metal based catalysts for OER have been conducted in alkaline condition. In recent years, studies on spinel structures such as NiCo2O4 and CoFe2O4 nano sheet report that their high OER activity is originated from higher oxygen vacancy ratio. In this study, NiFe-O, NiFe-OP, NiFe-OB and NiFe-OS catalysts were prepared by electrodeposition on carbon paper. Their composition and morphology were controlled by electrodeposition conditions. During the OER activity measurement by chrono amperometry, electrochemical surface was monitored. Based on the obtained OER intrinsic activity, it was confirmed that the NiFe-OS catalyst showed the highest catalytic performance owing to its highest ratio of oxygen vacancy. |
