Fabrication of Core-shell Nanofibers by Using Coaxial Electrospinning |

Electrospinning is a useful way to produce nanofibers in a continuous process. The dimension of the nanofibers can be controlled from tens of nanometers to a few micrometers. The core-shell nanofibers with multiple components are advantageous in the add-up of the properties and controllability that are not obtainable with single component nanofibers. We fabricated core–shell structured nanofibers consisting of PS and PCL in the forms of straight or beaded fibers. The fiber thickness and distance between the beads could be controllable by adjusting the electrospinning conditions. |
