제목 | Filtration Characteristics of Nylon66 Nano-fiber Filters |
초록 | Electrospun fibers have the size range of 50 nm ~ 500 nm in diameter. the electrospun filter media has the very high collection efficiency. In this study, Nylon 66 blended with formic acid was used as a test polymer solution. The primary filtration properties of electrospun fiber filter media were measured. Fiber shape and size were measured by a scanning electron microscope, and pore size distribution, air permeability, and collection efficiency of the tested filter media were also measured. The filtration performance of the electrospun filter media was compared with that of glass fiber filter media. The test results show that the ultra fine fibers and the high electrical charging state are the main causes of high collection efficiency of electrospun filter media, even though the electrospun media has bigger pores and consequently lower pressure drop than glass fiber filter media. |
