Wetting properties to morphological behaviorof core-shell polymer-based nanoparticle coatings |

Theglass transition temperature (Tg) strongly affects the physicochemical properties of polymers. Inparticular, various properties can be induced by coating polymer nanocapsuleshaving two or more Tg. We introduced polymer nanocapsules into glass substrates andanalyzed the effect of polymer Tg on the surface properties. The microstructure and microbehavioral properties of the coating surfacedepend on the Tg of the synthesized CSP. The surface element distribution andchemical bond values were analyzed via XPS depth profile to prove behavior ofCSP nanoparticles. The core/shell Tg = 55.81/-9.12 °C nanoparticles had a high probability of placingthe core on the surface. On the other hand, nanoparticles with core/shell Tg = -33.17.81 /-28.6 °C showed a high probability that the shell locates on the surface. |
