Acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) have been used in protective films, die attach adhesive films, self-adhesive tapes, and polarizer films. Recently much attention has been focused on the development of solventless PSAs due to increased environmental concerns. In the present study, acrylic copolymers were synthesized by bulk free radical polymerization of acrylic monomers, mixed with multifunctional acrylic monomers, and then cured by electron beam (e-beam) irradiation. The characteristics of the resulting solventless PSAs, such as peel resistance, creep strength, light leakage, and durability, were investigated according to the composition of acrylic copolymers and e-beam radiation dose. |
