Chemically reduced graphene oxide (RGO) is well known in the electrochemical sensor, devices and catalyst, because of its remarkable electrical conductivity and high specific surface area. In this study, among different reducing processes, the hydrothermal treatment of graphene oxide (GO) has done to obtain RGO. Morphology and structural characterization of RGO has done with FE-SEM, XRD and XPS analyses. The capacitance behavior of RGO is invesitgated by using cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge in a three electrode system. The specific capacitance of hydrothermally reduced RGO at 1A/g is 367 F/g in a 1M H2SO4 electrolyte. The cyclic voltammogram of RGO shows the typical electrical double layer capacitance (EDLC). The electrochemical stability was studied up to 1200 cycles. The present of some oxygen containing groups in RGO which arises little pseudocapacitance. The energy density of the hydrothermal RGO reached 44.4 Wh/kg at a power density 40KW/kg. |
