제목 Preparation and Synthesis of Nanosized TiO2 from Aqueous TiCl4 Solution.
초록 TiO2 have been intensively studied because of their outstanding chemical and physical properties, which are of interest for such applications as pigments, catalyst support, filters, coatings, semiconductor, electrochemical sensor and photocatalysts. As an cheap, nontoxic, and highly efficient photocatalyst,  TiO2 has a good prospect in environmental purification, such as degradation of hazardous volatile organic, malodorous compound, decolorization of dyeing waste water and decomposition of carbonic acid gas. Due to its commercial importance, the synthesis and characterization of TiO2 nanopowders has attracted much interest, and have given rise to a diversity of preparation method, which influence the morphology and size of the nanoparticles. There are many methods of producing TiO2, such as chemical precipitation, anodic spark deposition, sol-gel and hydrolysis. In this study, aqueous TiCl4  solution used as a starting material was hydrolyzed using various additives so that nanosized TiO2 particles were obtained. Physical properties of the samples were charaterized using XRD, SEM, FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy and probe reaction.
