초록 | Liquid metals have several possible applications in nuclear energy systems. Lead and lead alloy, such as lead-bismuth eutectic (LBE), are efficient heat transfer media because of high thermal conductivity and high heat capacity. Moreover, LBE is chemically inert and does not react violently with air and water. Therefore, LBE is one of coolant candidates in advanced reactors and accelerator driven systems (ADS). However, corrosion of component materials is concerned since the solubility of Ni, Cr and Fe in liquid Pb-Bi is high. Thus, the corrosion of the component materials in liquid Pb-Bi is one of the important research items in development program of the ADS. We try to evaluate the possibility of maintaining the corrosion-resistance of a structural material under the operational temperature and flow velocity of the optimized HYPER (HYbrid Power Extraction Reactor) cooling system. It was attempted to consider the control of the oxygen concentration in the possible ranges of 350~650℃. The static corrosion tests were performed with the exposure time of 200 hours. The oxygen contents are 8.03 x 10-7 ~1.68 x 10-6 wt% at the temperature of 600℃. The test specimens were Al surface-treated steels, 316L and some martensitic steels such as T91, HT9. Al coating layer was formed by the thickness of 100㎛ and it shows resistance against Pb corrosion under oxygen content 1.2 x 10-6 wt% at 600℃ for 200 hours. |
