제목 | Effect of inorganic particles on nafion/silica hybrid membrane for redox flow battery |
초록 | Energy storage has become the critical issue for the future energy supply. The redox flow battery offers the best combination of energy efficiency and life-cycle costs compared with other technologies. Redox flow battery is designed to convert and store the electrical energy into the chemical energy and release it when required. Nafion/silica hybrid membrane is prepared by the sol-gel process and employed as the separator for Zn-Br redox flow battery. Nafion/silica hybrid membrane was prepared from nafion, 3-glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane as the coupling agent, tetraethyl orthosilicate as silica precursor and dimethylformamide as the solvent. The characteristic properties of the nafion/silica hybrid membranes are investigated by thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and LCR meter. |
