제목 Effect of inorganic particles on nafion/silica hybrid membrane for redox flow battery
초록 Energy storage has become the critical issue for the future energy supply. The redox flow battery offers the best combination of energy efficiency and life-cycle costs compared with other technologies. Redox flow battery is designed to convert and store the electrical energy into the chemical energy and release it when required.  
Nafion/silica hybrid membrane is prepared by the sol-gel process and employed as the separator for Zn-Br redox flow battery. Nafion/silica hybrid membrane was prepared from nafion, 3-glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane as the coupling agent, tetraethyl orthosilicate as silica precursor and dimethylformamide as the solvent.
The characteristic properties of the nafion/silica hybrid membranes are investigated by thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and LCR meter.
