Catalytic Dechlorination of PCBs at Low Temperature |
초록 |
A method of chemical dechlorination of PCBs in water was introduced. The method was based on the hydroxyl radical-induced dechlorination. The hydroxyl radical was suggested to be formed from the reaction of H2O2 with Fe2+ which had been reduced from Fe3+ by the charge transfer between methanol and 4,4'-dipyridyl. PCBs of Aroclor 1242 and Aroclor 1248 could be dechlorinated completely after 1 h reaction at 90℃, and linear carboxylic acids together with linear aliphatic hydrocarbons were produced. |
