제목 Paper-based neuraminidase assay sensor for detection of influenza viruses
초록 In this study, we described a paper-based neuraminidase assay sensor (PNAS) that can be applied to detect infections caused by influenza viruses. The PNAS was designed and manufactured to quantitatively identify the levels of neuraminidase in the sample, which is based on colorimetric analysis using the X-Neu5Ac substrate. We have demonstrated that Michaelis-Menten kinetics applies to PNAS. The kinetic studies indicate that PNAS provides a good condition for the enzyme reaction (Km = 8.327 × 10-3 M), which is close to the value calculated from the enzyme reaction rate calculation in solution (Km = 0.89 × 10-3 M). In addition, since PNAS is a paper-based sensor, it is very easy to dispose of it after use. In conclusion, the PNAS developed from this study is expected to be applicable to the rapid and safe detection of influenza viruses.
