LIBs are widely used in EVs and ESS due to their high energy densities and long cycle life. However, it suffers from safety problem owing to the flammability of organic liquid electrolyte. In this respect, ASSBs with non-flammable solid electrolyte are considered as promising battery system to solve the safety problem. The representative solid electrolytes are inorganic and polymer electrolyte. Inorganic electrolyte including LLTO, LLZO, and LGPS shows high lithium ion conductivity and wide electrochemical window. However, they have major disadvantage such as brittle and high interface resistance between the electrolyte and electrode. The polymer electrolyte including PEO, PAN, and PVCA had small interface resistance compared with inorganic electrolyte as well as flexible and lightweight. However, it shows relatively low ionic conductivity. In this study, we prepared composite polymer electrolyte with polypropylene carbonate (PPC) to obtain high ionic conductivity at room temperature. |
