제목 Langmuir-Blodgett film of silica coated gold nanoparticles for application to a Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) Sensor
초록 The surface modification of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with a silica thin layer improved the sensitivity of SPR signals. AuNPs of 10 nm in diameter were prepared in aqueous solution and a silica layer was synthesized on AuNPs at the different concentration of tetraethyl orthosilicate for the control of silica layer thickness. Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) monolayer of AuNPs was prepared on the glass surface by controlling the surface pressure. The size change of AuNPs was observed by UV/Visible spectra and atomic force microscopic images confirmed the reliable fabrication of AuNPs LB films. The improvement of SPR sensitivity was confirmed by imaging or spectral analysis of SPR sensors by sequential binding of proteins.
