Layered double hydroxides(LDHs) are a kind of layered materials that consists of positively charged layers and the interlayer exchangeable anion. Their general composition can be represented as [M(II)1-XM(III)X(OH)2]X+{An-X/nmH2O]X-, where M(II) and M(III) are divalent and trivalent cations, respectively, and An- is and exchangable anion. In recent years, LDHs have received considerable attention because of their application as catalysts, ion exchangers, adsorbents, ceramic precursors, and organic-inorganic nanocomposites. In this study, LDHs, intercalated with sodium alkyl sulfates, and PET nanocomposites were prepared by melt compounding. Nanocomposites were studied by using TGA, DSC, XRD, and TEM. |
