제목 | Surface Modification of Ni-rich Li[Ni0.8Co0.15Al0.05]O2 with LaFeO3 as a High Temperature Cathode Material for Lithium-ion Batteries |
초록 | Li-ion batteries (LIBs) are dominant energy storage systems for mobile devices, electric vehicles, and so on. Ni-rich Li[Ni0.8Co0.15Al0.05]O2 (NCA) is regarded as a promising cathode material for the next-generation LIBs due to its high theoretical capacity. However, high content of nickel results in decrease of cycling performance and thermal safety. The fast capacity fading and thermal degradation of Ni-rich NCA need to be addressed to achieve enhanced electrochemical performance and structural stability. Herein, to address aforementioned issues, we report the surface modification of NCA cathodes with perovskite material, i.e., lanthanum iron oxide (LaFeO3) and systematically investigate the effect and influence of coating LaFeO3 over the electrochemical performance of the NCA. |
