Multi-faceted TiO2 nanoparticles and their application to Li-S batteries |

Lithium sulfur batteries (LSBs) are known as potential high energy storage devices due to their excellent energy density. We fabricate multi-faceted TiO2 particles. Multi-faceted TiO2 particles achieve high density assembly by high contact between particles. Multi-faceted TiO2 particles also reveal the adsorption and catalytic reaction of lithium polysulfide ions. We apply a multi-faceted TiO2 particle as the cathode of a lithium-sulfur battery. In particular, the multi-faceted TiO2 particles exhibit high volumetric capacities due to their high electrode tap density. |
