제목 리튬이온전지 전해질로 이용가능한 카보네이트와 이온성 액체의 혼합물 시스템
초록 Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) attract huge attention nowadays as electric vehicle power sources and renewable energy storage devices. Carbonates, used as usual electrolytes in LIBs, have an explosion issue due to their relatively low flashpoint. To solve this problem, an ionic liquid (IL) can be considered as an alternative owing to its unique features such as high ion conductivity, inflammatory. Herein, we proposed a mixed system of carbonates and ILs as a non-flammable electrolyte.
The physicochemical properties of mixed electrolytes were analyzed with differentiating mixing ratios between synthesized ILs and carbonates. In terms of thermal behavior, the higher content of IL showed better thermal stability. The mixed electrolyte which has 60% of ILs and 40% of carbonates shows adequate physical and electrochemical properties. Finally, the synthesized electrolytes were applied to half coin cells and they showed stable cyclic performance for 50 cycles with 1 C rate.
