Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(POSS) have been widely regareded as one of the most promising hybrid material.The POSS was used as a prime precursor for different types of inorganic-organic composites.This precursor has extensive thermal stability and stable oxidation state. It is well-known that CNTs have outstanding physical and thermal properties. CNTs were widely used as reinforcing filler to improve a thermal properties of therir nanocomposites. In this study, POSS-grafted MWNTs were prepared from the reaction of Poss with benzyl chloride (POSS-Cl) and MWNTs containing amino group. The obtained Poss-grafted MWNTs was characterized by FT-IR, SEM, EDX, TGA, and DSC. |
