제목 | The reaction yield and the by-product ratio of MPEGMA |
초록 | A series of poly(methacrylic acid-g-ethylene glycol) copolymers synthesized by copolymerization of methacrylic acid(MAA) with the macromonomer methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) methacrylate(MPEGMA) are the copolymers containing hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments which are widely used as dispersing agents and stabilizers for particles and emulsions in water. In these polymers one block of the dispersing agent is designed to adsorb onto the surface of the particle or penetrate into the oil phase, while the other block extends into the continuous phase and provides steric stabilization. Poly(methacrylic acid-g-ethylene glycol) copolymers can be used in a various way by changing the mole number of ethylene glycol(EG) in MPEGMA. In this report, The synthesized MPEGMAs by copolymerization of methoxy polyethyleneglycol(MPEG) and methylmethacrylate(MMA) were studied by 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. NMR analysis determined the completion of the reaction and the yield and the by-product ratio, which were also checked by MALDI. |
