제목 Effect of Plasticizer on Expansion and Mechanical Properties of Poly (lactic acid) Foam Composites
초록 Thermally expandable microcapsule (TEPM) and plasticizer filled poly(lactic acid)(PLA) foam composites are prepared by melt mixing method . The triethyl citrate is used as plasticizer to improve the dispersion and expansion properties of the capsules and compensate for the brittleness of PLA. Although plasticizer reduced the overall mechanical properties of PLA foam composites, expansion property of capsules and impact strength of composites are considerably increased by plasticizing of PLA resin. Glass transition, melting temperature and crystallinity of plasticized PLA mixtures are decreased with increasing the content of triethyl citrate. Only 2.5 wt.% of triethyl citrate is rapidly improve the melt index(MI) and impact property. The density reduction of PLA foam composites are enhanced without a large reduction in the mechanical properties at 2.5 wt.% of triehtyl citrate.
