Recently it has been of great interest in using regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) for many thin-film devices such as organic solar cells and transistors due to its chemical and environmental stability with modest electrical properties and solution processablity. There is many attempts have been made for printing a P3HT thin film based on soft lithography including microcontact printing, micromolding in capillaries(MIMIC) and photolithography. We have developed a simple, facile but robust process, plasma enhanced polymer contact printing (PEPCP), to fabricate P3HT patterns. The method is based directly on a elastomeric PDMS mold. Printing is accomplished by the application of O2 plasma on either P3HT film or substrate. Our method allows nCP P3HT at room temperature without additional pressure. OTFT devices with printed P3HT patterns using PEPCP exhibit decent electron mobility of approximately 0.01cm2/VS with relatively on/off ratio of approximately 103. |
