Polymer-supported NHC-Cu(I) catalyst for C-S coupling Reaction: Synthesis of Raman-active Thiol containing Compounds |

New type of polymer-supported N-heterocyclic carbene copper (I) catalyst (PS-NHC-CuI) was developed using imidazolium with N-picolyl moieties. Various kinds of aryl sulfides were assembled efficiently with this catalyst system. Moreover, the catalyst was easily recovered from the reaction mixture by simple filtration and could be recycled with almost consistent activity. The resulting thiol containing compounds afforded unique Raman signatures that could be applied for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) labeling probes. |
