Recoverable Bidentate NHC-Pd complex on Silica particle |

N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) have emerged as universal ligands for transition-metal catalysis. It was also known that the steric hindrance and strong electron-donating ligands could create more active catalysts for the NHC-Pd complex. In our previous study, we demonstrated that the bidentate NHC-Pd complexes were more stable with a good catalytic activity and prevented the formation of byproduct compared to the monodentate catalysts. In the present study, we prepared various bidentate NHC-Pd complexes immobilized on silica support and applied them to Suzuki coupling reaction. |
