Recently organic semiconductors have attracted keen attention in a variety of applications including displays, memory devices, energy conversion devices, etc. These applications can be specifically categorized into organic field-effect transistors (OFET), organic solar cells (OSC), organic light-emitting devices (OLED), organic photodiodes (OPD), and organic phototransistors (OPTR). The major advantage of these organic devices can be attributed to their potential for low-cost manufacturing by low temperature and wet processes. In terms of OPTR, additional advantages can be achieved because its spectral responsivity could be controlled by choosing suitable organic semiconductors. Recently, we have invented OPTR with polymer/polymer bulk heterojunction layers and their responsivity was higher than inorganic phototransistors. In this presentation, we will demonstrate their performances and discuss in combination with film characteristics (nanomorphology and surface). |
