Multi-Scale Pore Generation from Controlled Phase Inversion: Application to Separators for Li-ion Batteries |
초록 |
Phase inversion based porous film is a promising candidate for alternative of commercialized PE separator due to its cheap production cost and high thermal stability. However, the difficulty of pore size controlling cause fast capacity fade and poor charge/discharge rate performances. We demonstrate a novel and simple approach to fabrcate a new separator with multi-scale pore structures for lithium-ion battery. Two different phase inversion behaviors in PVdF-HFP/good solvent/bad solvent mixture solution is able to generate the multi-scale pore structures on macroporous non-woven substrate. The multi-scale pore structure from controlled phase inversion play a crucial role in improving aforementioned drawbacks of the phase inversion based porous separators for lithium ion battery. |
