Preparation of iron oxide nanoparticles stabilized by water-soluble chitosan -g- poly(ethylene oxide) |
초록 |
Generally, Chitosan has a high molecular weight and shows low solubility in neutral water. There are several methods to improve the water solubility of authentic chitosan through acetylation or modification using small molecular weight anhydride compound such as phthalic anhydride. However, PEGylation of chitosan seems to be a useful method to improve the neutral water solubility. In this respect, the utilization of anhydride-terminated PEO was found to be effective to modify authentic chitosan. Water-soluble chitosan -g- PEO was practically obtained by the reaction of chitosan with ω-anhydride PEO in acetic acid aqueous solution at 60℃ for 24h. We prepared magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles using the PEO-grafted chitosan as a surfactant. In this paper, we will present a preliminary result for the preparation of water-soluble chitosan-stabilized Fe3O4 nanoparticles. |
