제목 Synthesis and Characterization of the Symmetrical Alkyl Chain Substituted Poly(p-Phenylene Vinylene)
초록 Poly(p-phenylene vinylene) (PPV) is well known for a conjugated polymer which has been attracted to many researchers owing to stability of light and air exposure. However, PPVs are difficult to spin coating because of insoluble in solvents. In this study, we substituted to symmetrical alkoxy chain at phenyl of PPV for improvement in solubility and electrical properties. Alkyl chain substituted PPVs with regioregularity of head-to tail structure were synthesized by Gilch reaction. The physical and optical properties of the its compounds were characterized by UV-vis spectra, photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry(CV).
