The Electro-Optic Property of Holographic PDLC Based on N-vinyl Carbazole Doped Polymer Matrix |

To minimize driving voltage in holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal(HPDLC) we added various amounts of n-vinyl carbazole which is known as photoconductive material to the conventional polyurethane acrylate(PUA) system at a composition of urethane acrylate oligomer(oligomer)/dipentaerythritol hexa-/penta acrylate(DPHPA)/N-vinyl pyrrollidinone(NVP) =4/3/3. Morphology of the gratings was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and atomic force microscopy(AFM). It was founded that HPDLC dopped with n-vinyl carbazole showed low driving voltage and high relaxation time compared with conventional PUA system. HPDLC also showed good grating formation and high diffraction efficiency. |
