Preparation of Transparent Polymeric Conducting Film with High Water Resistance |

Transparent conducting film with high water resistance was prepared by using polythiophene nanoparticles. Especially, effect of reaction temperature of polythiophene nanoparticles was investigated on the film properties. Polythiophene were synthesized by Fe3+-catalyzed oxidative polymerization. Poly(styrene sulfonic acid) as stabilizer was used for particle formation and stability of dispersion. The reaction time and conductivity were adjusted by reaction temperature and it was proved by a weight conversion and 4-point prove method. Also, particle size and morphology was characterized by SEM. Polythiophene-based transparent conducting film was fabricated by bar coating and annealing. Transparency of film and conductivity was analyzed by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and surface resistance meter, respectively. Water stability of polythiophene film was increased by introduction of polymeric binder. |
