Synthesis and Application of Cholesteric Liquid Crystals Having Optical Properties for Polarized Light Reflector |
| 초록 |
Cholesteric liquid crystals have the optical property of reflecting a circularly polarized component of light, the collecting a circularly polarized component of light. The cholesteric compound was synthesized with DCC and DMAP. We were doped into nematic liquid crystals(LC) (Merck; E48) in amounts varying from a few percent to 20% to create circular polarization elements. The white light reflection film could be used in LC displays to enhance the back lighting efficiency. |
