제목 SYNTHESIS OF POLY (2-HYDROXYETHYL METHACRYLATE)-BLOCK-POLY (L-TYROSINE) BY THE COMBINATION OF ATRP AND ROP
초록 A new hybrid Amphiphilic system between poly 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (PHEMA) as a synthetic segment and a hydrophobic peptide segment, poly L-tyrosine (PTYR) was synthesized by the combination of atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and silazane mediated ring opening polymerization (ROP) of L-tyrosine anhydride (TYR-NCA). Four different (PHEMA-b-PTYR) hybrid co-polymers with molecular weight range of 5500-10000 had been prepared by varying the monomer to macroinitiator ratio. Polymers were characterized by Gel permeation chromatography analysis and 1H NMR measurements. To study their self- assembling nature, all samples were evaluated for the formation of micelles, which displays spherical micellar morphology. It is expected that these system may suitable for various biomedical applications
