Among fabrication of micro and nanoscaled materials, electro-spinning is well known as an easy and simple method. In this study, Conducting composite nanofibers were produced from a mixture of styreneacrylonitrilecopolymer(SAN), Dimethylformamide (DMF), and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIPF6) using electro-spinning process. As a typical ionic liquid, BMIPF6 is hydrophobic, air-stable, and conductive ionic liquid. We investigated sensing behavior of the fabricated SAN/BMIPF6 nanofibers through measuring the change of their electric resistance when the nanofibers were exposed to four alcohol vapours. |
