In order to establish energy-saving technology for CO2 capture from blast furnace gas, Novel absorbents were developed in the laboratory and evaluated at a 4 kg CO2/d test. Non-aqueous MEA(Monoethanolamine)-baseline, aqueous MEA-baseline and aqueous HS-1 were evaluated. CO2 absorption behaviors of single-component amine solvents for BFG(Blast Furnace gas) and simulated BFG(CO2/N2 = 22%/78%) were investigated through a batch test using a small scrubbing bottle. The CO2 absorption of HS-1 was 1.5 times higher than MEA absorbent at the batch test. The CO2 removal efficiency of the HS-1 was also 1.8 times higher than MEA absorbent at the 4 kg CO2/d bench scale test. The impact of various process parameters on the absorption and desorption steps will also be discussed. |
