Organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs) have attracted attention owing to their low cost, flexibility, light weight, and renewable energy. The non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs) have been much developed due to simple synthesis, broad absorption, and tunable energy band-gap. Various electron-withdrawing end groups could be used for tuning energy levels. In this work, we synthesized the new NFAs which have various electron-withdrawing end groups, using Knoevenagel condensation and Suzuki coupling. The optical, and electrochemical properties of the new NFAs will be presented. In addition, we observed relationship between various electron-withdrawing end groups and devices performance. |
