Solution-Processed Organic Thin-Film Transistor Using Low Temperature Processable Polyimide Gate Insulator |

Aromatic polyimides have been extensively used in the microelectronics industry as interdielectric layers and passivation layers due to their excellent chemical, physical, and mechanical properties. However these polyimides were not good candidates for organic thin film transistors as gate insulator due to the high processing temperature around 300 oC. To overcome that problem, we successfully synthesized fully soluble polyimide insulator which can be fabricated as an insulator layer at around 160 oC. In this presentation, we will also show potential of our low temperature processable polyimide as an gate insulator for solution-processed OTFT devices. |
