Investigation of hardness, swelling ratio and crosslinkig density of UV-cured epoxy films |

Ultraviolet(UV)-curable resins can change from a liquid to a solid plastic in a short time. By taking advantage of this characteristic of them, the applicability has been expanded for the purpose of replacing currently used plastics. In this study, various UV-curable resins composed of an oligomeric epoxy acrylate, a monomer, a photo-initiator and a crosslinker were prepared for applications as a protection layer of tempered glass substrate. Effects of tetrahydrofurfuryl acrylate and methacylic acid as the monomer on the physical properties of cured films such as hardness, sewlling ratio, crosslinking density and average molecular weight between the cross-linking points were investigated. |
