Carbon nanotube (CNT) exhibits extraordinary mechanical and unique electronic properties and offers significant potential for structural, sensor, and nanoelectronics applications. For the potential applications to be realized, it requires a uniform dispersion of CNT powders in organic media. However, CNTs tend to form aggregates owing to strong van der waals force interactions. Therefore, counterbalancing in van der waals interaction is one of the challenges for dispersing and exfoliating CNTs. In this study, suspensions containing a various weight fraction of CNTs are prepared by dispersing CNTs with sodium lignosulfonate in water. The CNTs functionalized under different conditions is investigated. |
