In this study, fiber-based hydrocolloid was prepared by electrospinning of TPU solution containing hydrocolloid (S.CMC). Most suitable process of electrospinning for successful formation of fibers was founded by controlling concentration of polymeric solution and solvent ratio of cosolvent. To achieve high wettability, amount of S.CMC and morphology of fiber mat which was affected by solvent ratio were adjusted. The successful preparation of fiber-based hydrocolloid are characterized by scanning electron microscope and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and these nanofiber based hydrocolloids can be applied in biomedical field as well as wound dressing. In addition, wound recovery effect was confirmed from in-vivo animal study. |
