Chemiluminescence of thermally degraded acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene blend |

Chemiluminescence (CL) behaviors of flame-retardant Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) blend with variation in thermal exposure time were investigated. A good flame retardancy of ABS blend may be a mandatory issue in electrical appliance industry. CL measurement has been employed to monitor the thermo-oxidative degradation of ABS blend. The prolongation of thermal exposure time leads to a progressive increase in CL emission intensity. The relationship between flammability and thermal degradation of ABS blend will be discussed. |
