Tumor-Targetable Hyaluronic Acid Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery and Biomedical Imaging |

Polymeric Nanoparticles have been developed as the carrier of anti-cancer drugs and/or imaging agents for effective therapy and diagnosis of cancer. However, the tumor targeting efficienty of the nanoparticles are still one of the important issues. In this study, we prepared hyaluronic acid(HA)-based nanoparticles for tumor targeting. The detailed biodistribution of the nanoparticles in the tumor-bearing mice was investigated using the optical imaing techniuqe. In addition, in vivo therapeutic effect of drug-loaded nanoparticles on the tumor was evaluated.Overall it was evident that HA nanoparticles are promissing carrier for delivery of anti-cancer drugs as well as imaging agents. |
